A total of four top-25 seeds are in Raonic’s section. The Canadian himself will start against Jan Lennard-Struff followed by Mikhail Youzhny or Nicolas Mahut. Youzhny is the only player Raonic has previously played, winning two out of their three encounters.
Italian Open champion Alexander Zverev enters the tournament as Germany’s best hope of a Wimbledon title. At Halle he progressed to the final before suffering a comprehensive straight sets loss to Roger Federer. Zverev, who is making his third Wimbledon appearance, could play Jack Sock in round three followed by Raonic.
