Sunday night provided the opportunity for the biggest names in the world of tennis to show their elegant side at the Wimbledon Champions dinner.
The traditional event has been held annually since 1977 when the LTA Ball was moved. This year’s dinner was hosted at the Guildhall in London. Champions Roger Federer and Garbine Muguruza were present with their trophies. Muguruza secured the title with a straight sets win over Venus Williams. Meanwhile, Federer roared to a record eighth title with a straightforward win over Marin Cilic.
According to the Wimbledon, the tradition of dancing between the two champions ceased in 1977. Although former winners have danced together since. According to a spokesperson at The All England Club, there was no dance floor at the venue. Nevertheless, that may not have stopped the two champions.
