Novak Djokovic has announced his schedule for the first part of the 2016 season on his website. The World Number 1 player will make his debut in Doha (ATP 250 Tournament) which starts on 4th January. In 2015 he was beaten last year in the quarter finals by Ivo Karlovic 7-6 6-7 4-6 in the quarter finals.
Djokovic will defend his title at the Australian Open which kicks off on 18th January in Melbourne where he will be bidding to win his sixth title. Last year Djokovic became the first player to clinch five Australian Open titles as he beat Andy Murray 7-6 6-7 6-3 6-0.
He will then return to the court for the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships from 22nd February. He won this tournament four times in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2013 and finished runner-up to Roger Federer last year.
Djokovic will play for the first round match of the Davis Cup World Group from 4th to 6th March when Serbia will host Kazakhstan.
