Hsieh su-Wei has claimed her first mixed doubles Grand Slam titles after winning six Major women’s doubles trophies.

Hsieh and Zielinski raced out to a 5-2 lead in the match tie-break. Krawczyk and Skupski won three consecutive points from 4-7 to draw level to 7-7 and held a championship point at 9-8 after two consecutive aces by Skupski.

Hsieh and Zielinski hit two overhead winners to earn a championship point at 10-9. They converted it after a netted volley by Skupski.

Hsieh and Zielinski hit 22 winners to Krawczyk and Skupski’s 19.

Hieh has reached her second final at this edition of the Australian Open after qualifying for the championships match in the women’s doubles match alongside Elise Mertens. Hsieh has claimed four Wimbledon doubles titles and two Roland Garros titles, but she has never triumphed in the women’s doubles at the Australian Open.

Zielinski has claimed her first Grand Slam title in any discipline after finishing runner-up at last year’s edition of the Australian Open in the men’s doubles championships match alongside Hugo Nys. Zielinski has become the first Polish player to win a Grand Slam mixed doubles title. Krawczyk won two consecutive Wimbledon titles with Skupski in 2021 and 2022. The American player teamed up with Joe Salisbury to win Roland Garros and the US Open in 2021.
