Mladenovic and Babos clinched their fourth Grand Slam consecutive title in their career and their second Major tournament in 2020 after winning the Australian Open last January.

In the opening set Mladenovic and Babos earned their first break in the third game to take a 2-1 lead. Guarachi and Krawczyk broke straight back to draw level to 2-2. Mladenovic and Babos broke serve for the second time in the seventh game to take a 4-3 lead and consolidated the break with a hold of serve in the eighth game for 5-3. Mldenovic and Babos earned two set points on Krawczyk and Guarachi’s serve in the ninth game.

Mladenovic and Babov earned two more set points on their serve in the 10th game, but Krawcyk and Guarachi saved them.

Krawcyk and Guarachi earned two break-back points, but Mladenovic and Babos saved both of them and clinched the first set 6-4 on their fifth set point.

The second set featured a total of seven break points. Babos and Mladenovic broke serve in the third game and consolidated it with a hold to open up a 3-1 lead. Krawczyk and Guarachi broke back in the sixth game to draw level to 3-3. Mladenovic and Babos broke for the second time in the seventh game to take a 4-3 lead. After a trade of breaks in the eighth and ninth games, Babos and Mladenovic earned their first chance to serve for the match in the 10th game, but Guarachi and Krawczyk broke back again to draw level to 5-5.

Mladenovic and Babos got the seventh break of the set in the 11th game earning their second second chance to serve for the match in the 12th game.

Mladenovic and Babos broke serve for the fourth time in the 11th game before sealing the win on their second match point.

Mladenovic won their third Roland Garros doubles title. She won her first title on home soil with her compatriot Caroline Garcia in 2016 and two more editions with Timea Babos.

Mladenovic has tied Gail Chanfreau for the second-most Roland Garros doubles titles by a French player in the Open Era behind Francoise Durr, who won four trophies.

Mladenovic and Babos are the first doubles team to win two Grand Slam titles in the same season since Barbora Krejikova and Katerina Siniakova clinched back-to-back titles at the French Open and Wimbledon in 2018 and the first team to win the Australian Open and the French Open in the same year since Bethanie Mattek Sands and Lucie Safarova in 2015 and 2017. “I rarely saw myself being that exhausted mentally and physically, especially on the Grand Slam final today, and Babos played a big part of our win today. I gave it everything in the last two weeks during the rest of our matches”, said Mladenovic.
