This year’s Roland Garros champion Stan Wawrinka is not sure yet whether he will play with Roger Federer in the men’s doubles at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Wawrinka and Federer won the men’s doubles gold medal in Beijing 2008. Both of them will play in the men’s singles.
Federer will team up with Martina Hingis in the mixed doubles. Belinda Bencic, who has committed to play in the women’s singles and in the women’s doubles has not decided yet whether she will team up with Wawrinka in the mixed doubles.
“I don’t want to hurry to make a decision because you have to put together many things like seeing if you are healthy. I don’t know if I will play it. I may be playing only singles”, said Wawrinka.
Wawrinka is confident that his Roland Garros title is just the start of an exciting period in his career.
“When I see Federer, I say myself that I can keep going on for many years”, said Federer.
