With 97 years of activity behind it, Tennis Italiano is the oldest tennis magazine in the world still in publication. Now its English version is available online at this link:
Founded in 1929, Il Tennis Italiano is one of the authorative voices in sport publishing. After several changes in format and ownership, starting with issue 1147 in November 2023, Fandango Libri – owned by television, film producer and avid tennis fan Domenico Procacci – became the publisher, adding a new cultural dimension to the historic sporting heritage.
The magazine is now enriched with new content and influences from literature, cinema, entertainment, comics, and the visual arts. In an attempt, which we hope and believe will be successful, to combine sports culture and culture tout-court, with a focus on all forms of expression. Among the prestigious names featured in the last two years are two-time ‘Premio Strega’ winner Sandro Veronesi, other ‘Premio Strega’ winners Antonio Scurati and Francesco Piccolo, Alessandro Baricco, Matteo Codignola, Marco Missiroli, the Goncourt Prize winner Laurent Binet, Gerald Marzorati, Joel Drucker and many others.
