Friday features the last two men’s singles quarterfinals, as well as all four semifinals in the doubles disciplines.

In the bottom half of the men’s singles draw, the top two seeds have advanced to the semifinals, setting up a high-profile clash between Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev.  The winner will face either Jiri Lehecka or Arthur Fils, who will be making their debut in the championship match of a Masters 1000 event, as Lehecka and Fils have taken advantage of the early exits of top seeds in the top half of the draw.

Plus, all four doubles semifinals will be played on Friday, featuring a total of three matchups between top four seeds across men’s and women’s doubles.

Here’s a rundown of all of Friday’s semifinals (in chronological order, all times local):

Gabriela Dabrowski and Luisa Stefani (3) vs. Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend (2) – 1:00pm on Stadium Court

Dabrowski and Stefani already won a WTA 1000 title this year in Dubai, as did Siniakova and Townsend, who were the champions two weeks ago in Indian Wells.  Neither team has dropped a set in Miami, though Dabrowski and Stefani received a walkover two rounds ago.

Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos (1) vs. Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten (4) – 1:00pm on Grandstand Court

These teams both won Majors last season, yet they haven’t met in nearly a year.  Last May in the quarterfinals of Madrid on clay, Granollers and Zeballos were victorious in straight sets.  Granollers and Zeballos went on to win that title in Madrid, which remains their most recent triumph at a Masters tournament.  Heliovaara and Patten only own one Masters title, which came just a few months ago at the Paris Indoors.

Jiri Lehecka (21) vs. Arthur Fils (28) – Not Before 3:00pm on Stadium Court

Lehecka has dropped one set through four matches in Miami, in his three-set upset over Taylor Fritz.  This is his second Masters semifinal, and his first in nearly two years, when he was forced to retire after only six games in Madrid due to a back injury that would sideline him for months.

Fils knows all too much about back injuries, as he missed nearly eight months of action due to a stress fracture in his lower back.  The 21-year-old Frenchman returned just last month, and is 13-4 since his return, with a quarterfinal appearance in Indian Wells, and now his first-ever Masters semifinal here.  On Wednesday night, he pulled off an incredible comeback from 2-6 down in the third-set tiebreak against Tommy Paul, saving four match points, and winning six points in a row, to prevail.

Fils leads their head-to-head 2-1, which includes a 6-3, 6-3 victory just last month in the quarterfinals of Doha.

Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori (7) vs. Sander Arends and John-Patrick Smith – Second on Grandstand Court

Bolelli and Vavassori were the champions a month ago in Rotterdam, their eighth title since becoming a team back in 2023.  Arends and Smith have already survived a trio final-set tiebreaks on their way to this semifinal, the best result to date of this partnership at a Masters event.

Alexander Zverev (3) vs. Jannik Sinner (2) – Not Before 7:00pm on Stadium Court

Sinner’s dominance at Masters level continued on Thursday afternoon, winning his 29th and 30th sets in a row at this level, against Frances Tiafoe.  He’s also now claimed 32 of his last 34 matches, and hasn’t lost a match in Miami since 2023, though he missed this tournament a year ago.

Zverev has benefitted from a pretty easy draw to reach this semifinal, his fifth semifinal out of the last six Masters events.  However, he’s 0-4 in his last four Masters semis, and hasn’t reached a final since 2024.

Sinner is 7-4 against Zverev, and has won their last six meetings, all of which occurred on hard courts.  Zverev has been unable to defeat Sinner since their five-setter at the 2023 US Open.

Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini (1) vs. Elise Mertens and Shuai Zhang (4) – Not Before 8:00pm on Stadium Court

This is second consecutive WTA 1000 semifinal for Errani and Paolini, who lost in this round of Indian Wells to Siniakova and Townsend.  Mertens and Shuai won the year’s first Major in Melbourne.  These teams have not faced off since Mertens and Shuai restarted their partnership this season.
