Tuesday features all eight fourth round matches in men’s singles, as well as the first two quarterfinals in women’s singles.

On Monday night, Belinda Bencic thumped Amanda Anisimova, a two-time Major singles finalist in 2025, by a score of 6-2, 6-2.  On Tuesday night, can she do the same against another American, and two-time Major singles champion, Coco Gauff?  The winner will face either Victoria Mboko or Karolina Muchova, who square off earlier in the day in another WTA quarterfinal.

Plus, Tuesday hosts all eight fourth round ATP singles match.   With only three of the top 10 players in the world appearing in the round of 16, there is plenty of opportunity for other players to make a deep run.

Here’s a rundown of the most notable matches on Tuesday (in chronological order, all times local):

Jiri Lehecka (21) vs. Taylor Fritz (6) – 12:00pm on Stadium Court

Fritz is a modest 12-7 on the year, as he has been playing through knee tendinitis.  He was a semifinalist here a year ago.  It’s been nearly two years since Lehecka achieved his sole Masters 1000 semifinal, which he was forced to retire from due to a back injury, and Jiri has been unable to regain his top form to date.  Fritz leads their head-to-head 4-1, though their most recent encounter went to Lehecka, which occurred six months ago in Davis Cup.

Valentin Vacherot (24) vs. Arthur Fils (28) – Second on Grandstand Court

Vacherot continues to impress following his shocking run last October in Shanghai, when he became a Masters 1000 champion despite beginning the event ranked outside the world’s top 200.  On Sunday, he beat Matteo Berrettini in straights, and is now on the verge of debuting inside the world’s top 20.  Fils has also impressed since returning just last month from a long injury layoff, with a record of 11-4.  On Sunday, he thumped Stefanos Tsitsipas by a score of 6-0, 6-1.  This is a first-time meeting.

Victoria Mboko (10) vs. Karolina Muchova (13) – Not Before 2:00pm on Stadium Court

Mboko is a strong 19-5 on the year, and the 19-year-old has now achieved her third WTA 1000 quarterfinal in just her seventh WTA 1000 appearance, after outlasting Mirra Andreeva on Monday via a 6-0 third set.  On the same day, Muchova crushed Alexandra Eala 6-0, 6-2.  That brought Karolina’a 2026 record to 17-3, and she already collected a WTA 1000 title this year in Doha.  This is a rematch from that Doha final, where Muchova prevailed 6-4, 7-5.

Alex Michelsen vs. Jannik Sinner (2) – Not Before 4:00pm on Stadium Court

Sinner is on an eight-match winning streak, as he vies to complete the “Sunshine Double” after taking the title in Indian Wells, and he’s yet to drop a set this month.  The World No.2 has reached the quarterfinals or better at 11 of his last 12 Masters 1000 events, with his only early loss coming via retirement.  By contrast, this is just the second time 21-year-old Michelsen has advanced to the round of 16 at a Masters.  And the American has failed to take a set off Sinner in either of their previous matches.

Terence Atmane vs. Frances Tiafoe (19) – Not Before 4:00pm on Grandstand Court

Tiafoe survived a thrilling three-setter on Monday afternoon against defending champion Jakub Mensik, saving two match points during an extended third-set tiebreak.  Atmane was a surprise semifinalist last summer in Cincinnati, where he came through qualifying and then upset Cobolli, Fonseca, Fritz, and Rune in succession.  He was just 3-6 this season at tour level prior to this fortnight, yet the left-handed Frenchman took out seventh-seeded Felix Auger-Aliassime in the last round.  This is another first-time encounter.

Belinda Bencic (12) vs. Coco Gauff (4) – Not Before 7:00pm on Stadium Court

Gauff has not been in top form of late, but has fought her way through a trio of three-setters to reach this quarterfinal, her first in Miami.  Bencic has not dropped a set through three rounds, and she was a semifinalist here back in 2022.  Gauff is 4-2 against Bencic overall, and 3-1 since Belinda returned from maternity leave 18 months ago.  But this could be a tough match for a struggling Coco, in her first match of this tournament against a seeded player.
