Emma Raducanu has decided to end her 2025 season after ending her positive season in tame fashion.

Illness has ended Raducanu’s season early after a retirement in Seoul was followed up by a first round exit in Ningbo to Lin Zhu.

The Brit has had a positive season returning to a high ranking as she has made good strides on the regular tour.

A good mix of coaches including a stint with Mark Petchey has meant that Raducanu is back to where she feel she belongs.

As things stand, Raducanu will be seeded for next year’s Australian Open which will be a big boost as she will be keen to miss out on facing the world’s biggest players in the opening two rounds of a Grand Slam.

Speaking of next year and coaching, another big talking point is her coaching set-up next year with Raducanu known for her coaching changes in her career.

However, Raducanu will be starting the 2026 season with Francisco Roig after a successful trial with each other.

Roig is a former coach of Rafael Nadal’s and joined Raducanu’s camp after Wimbledon with some successful performances.

Now, the Spaniard will hope that he can make some more positive results as Raducanu rests up ahead of Melbourne next year.

Next year’s Australian Open will start on Sunday 18th of January.
