The men’s final at Wimbledon was decided on Friday afternoon at The All England Club.
Carlos Alcaraz continued his quest for a third consecutive title by beating America’s Taylor Fritz in four sets. It is the Spaniard’s 10th win over a top-five player at a Grand Slam tournament, which makes him the youngest player to achieve this milestone since the ranking system was introduced in 1973.
Awaiting him in the final will be Jannik Sinner, who toppled a physically hampered Novak Djokovic in straight sets. The world No.1 is through to the title match for the first time in his career. He is now a win away from becoming the first Italian man to win a singles title at Wimbledon.
Steve Flink and Scanagatta reflect on all the events that took place and look ahead to Saturday’s women’s final, which will feature Iga Swiatek taking on Amanda Anisimova.
