Tuesday features all fourth round singles matches in the men’s singles draw, as well as the beginning of the quarterfinals in women’s singles.
All remaining players in the ATP singles draw will take to the court on Tuesday in Miami. Novak Djokovic renews what has been a dramatic rivalry with Lorenzo Musetti. Alexander Zverev renews what has been a contentious rivalry with Arthur Fils. And in two other battles between seeded players, Casper Ruud takes on Francisco Cerundolo, while Alex de Minaur does battle with Matteo Berretini.
Plus, the first two women’s singles quarterfinals are on Tuesday, and are headlined by a rematch from last year’s Australian Open final between Aryna Sabalenka and Qinwen Zheng.
Each day, this preview will analyze the two most intriguing matchups, while highlighting other notable matches on the schedule. Monday’s play gets underway at 11:00am local time.
Lorenzo Musetti (15) vs. Novak Djokovic (4) – Third on Stadium
So many of Lorenzo Musetti’s most memorable matches have come against the 24-time Major champion. In their first meeting, four years ago at Roland Garros, Musetti was up two-sets-to-love against Djokovic, before the Italian completely ran out of gas, eventually retiring in the fifth set. Yet two years later in Monte Carlo, Lorenzo upset Novak in a three-hour three-setter.
Then just last June at Roland Garros, they again played for five sets, with Djokovic again coming from behind to win. Just a few weeks later at Wimbledon, in Musetti’s Major semifinal debut, Novak prevailed in straights. And just a few weeks after that, in the semifinals of the Paris Olympics, Djokovic was again victorious in straights. Overall Novak is 7-1 against Lorenzo.
Neither man comes into this match in their top form, or having played a lot of matches during 2025. Djokovic is just 9-4 this season, and arrived in Miami on an extremely rare three-match losing streak. Musetti is just 7-3, and already endured a pair of tight three-setters in his first two rounds.
Novak is a six-time champion in Miami, with a record of 46-7, though this is only his third appearance since his last title in 2016. Lorenzo’s record in Miami is a meager 6-4 . Based on their history at this event, as well as their shared history, Djokovic is the clear favorite to advance.

Aryna Sabalenka (1) vs. Qinwen Zheng (9) – Not Before 7:00pm on Stadium
With her victory on Monday over defending champion Danielle Collins, Sabalenka earned her 20th win of the year, with only four losses. She’s dropped just 12 games through five completed sets this fortnight. However, Aryna has never advanced beyond this round of the Miami Open, having lost in her previous two quarterfinal appearances. In 2021, she was defeated by eventual champion Ash Barty. In 2023, she was upset by Sorana Cirstea.
Qinwen came into this month only 1-3 on the year, yet she’s now reached the quarterfinals of both Indian Wells and Miami. This is the 22-year-old’s best result in Miami to date, and she is also yet to lose a set through three rounds.
But the head-to-head in this matchup is quite lopsided. Sabalenka has taken all five meetings, with Qinwen claiming one of only 11 sets. That is inclusive of a 6-3, 6-2 victory in the championship match of last year’s Australian Open. There just doesn’t seem to be much Zheng can do to threaten Aryna’s hard court prowess, leaving the World No.1 as the favorite again on Tuesday evening.
Other Notable Matches on Tuesday:
Gael Monfils vs. Sebastian Korda (24) – Their only prior encounter occurred earlier this month at Indian Wells, where Monfils prevailed after two tight sets, both decided by tiebreaks.
Casper Ruud (5) vs. Francisco Cerundolo (23) – Cerundolo narrowly leads their head-to-head 4-3 overall, and 2-1 on hard courts.

Magda Linette vs. Jasmine Paolini (6) – Paolini came back from a set down on Monday to take out Naomi Osaka. Later in the day, Linette upset third-seeded Coco Gauff in straights. And Magda is 2-1 against Jasmine, which includes a 6-4, 6-0 victory last fall in Beijing on a hard court.
Alex de Minaur (10) vs. Matteo Berrettini (29) – On Monday evening, de Minaur survived a stern test from Joao Fonseca, as well as from his boisterous fans, to win in a grueling three-setter. Alex is 1-2 against Matteo, though the Aussie claimed their only hard court meeting, three years ago in his home country during the ATP Cup.
Alexander Zverev (1) vs. Arthur Fils (17) – Last summer in the final of Hamburg on clay, Fils upset the German in a third-set tiebreak, and only after Zverev had a dramatic overreaction to an underarm serve attempt by the Frenchman. Sascha has taken their other three matches.
