Linda Noskova survived a resurgence from Karolina Michova to win her first Grand Slam title at the age of 21.
During a dramatic final, Noskova failed to convert five championship points in the second set, but managed to reset and prevail in the third. Part of the inspiration for her comeback was seeing the trophy for the first time during her bathroom break. She has become the fourth-youngest WTA player to win their maiden major title at Wimbledon in the Open Era and will rise to No.7 in the rankings on Monday.
As for the men’s final, Alexander Zverev faces a tough task against Jannik Sinner. The German is known for his speedy serve, but is it as good as the top seed?
