Quentin Folliot has been suspended from tennis for 20 years after committing 27 breaches of the Tennis Anti-Corruption Programme.

The Frenchman was found to be operating on behalf of a match-fixing syndicate and has also received a 70,000 dollar fine as well as ordered to having to repay corruption payments totalling 44,000 dollars.

The matches relate to the period between 2022 and 2024 where Folliot was involved in 11 matches where he was match-fixing and eight of those contests where his own matches.

According to the ITIA charges include, “Contriving the outcome of matches, receiving money to not give best efforts for betting purposes, offering money to other players to fix matches, provision of inside information, conspiracy to corrupt, failure to co-operate with an ITIA investigation, and destruction of evidence.”

Subject to repayment of fines, Foillot will now be suspended from all tennis events until the 16th of May 2044.

It’s another statement of intent from the ITIA who are determined to crack down on all forms of match-fixing.
