Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden end their partnership with a win over Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz at the Nitto ATP Finals

Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden beat Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz 7-5 6-7 (6-8) 10-7 in their final match of partnership at the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin. 

Bopanna and Ebden reached world number 1 after winning the Australian Open doubles title in 2024. They will end their partnership after two successful years. 

Bopanna and Ebden levelled their head-to-head series to 2-2 with Krawietz and Puetz. The Indian and Australian player have won four tour-level titles together, including this year’s Australian Open trophy. 

Krawietz and Puetz have reached the semifinal despite Friday’s defeat in their third round match. They finished their group with a 2-1 record. They have to wait Friday night’s match between Marcelo Arevalo/Mate Pavic and Simone Bolelli/Andrea Vavassori to find out they finish first or second in the Bob Bryan Group. 

Krawietz and Puetz saved a break point in the fifth game of the first set. Bopanna and Ebden earned the first break in the 11th game to win the first set 7-5. 

Both players went on serve en route to the tie-break. Bopanna and Ebden earned a mini-break on the eighth game to take a 5-3 lead, but they let slip two match points at 6-4. Krawietz and Puetz won the final four points to clinch the tie-break 8-6. Bopanna and Ebden earned three mini-breaks to take a 8-3 lead in the Match tie-break. Krawietz and Puetz won four consecutive points to claw their way back to 7-8. Bopanna and Ebden won the final two points to clinch the match tie-break 10-7. Bopanna and Ebden fired 14 aces.
