The world number and former US Open champion will take on a qualifier in the opening round before potentially facing Daria Saville and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova on her way to the fourth round.
A Cincinnati rematch with Mirra Andreeva could await in the last 16 before one of Danielle Collins or Toronto champion Jessica Pegula could await in the quarter-finals.
Swiatek had a feisty encounter with Collins at the Olympics and the pair could reignite in the last eight in Collins’ last ever US Open.
Swiatek’s nemesis Elena Rybakina could await in the semi-finals with the Kazakh also facing a qualifier in the first round.
Rybakina could face Caroline Wozniacki or Caroline Garcia in the third round before taking on Anna Kalinskaya in the last 16.
Two standout ties await in the other half of the second quarter of the draw as former champion Naomi Osaka will battle Jelena Ostapenko in the opening round.
Meanwhile Jasmine Paolini and former champion Bianca Andreescu will take on each other for the third consecutive Grand Slam tournament.
In the bottom half of the draw last year’s final could be a semi-final this year with Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff in the same half of the draw.
Sabalenka will face a qualifier in round one with Ons Jabeur or Madison Keys awaiting in the fourth round.
Meanwhile defending champion Gauff will face Varvara Gracheva in the opening round with Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova awaiting in the quarter-finals.
The action at the US Open begins on Monday.
