Jennifer Brady has announced that she will have another surgery on her knee after missing the Australian Open.

The former finalist in Melbourne had entered the Australian Open as a protected ranking and was looking to build on her run to the third round at the US Open.

However the American withdrew after suffering another setback to her ongoing knee injury at last year’s tournament in Beijing.

After a long period without any update, last night Brady posted on social media to announce two things.

The first thing is that she will be having another surgery on her knee to fix the injury she’s been on and off suffering with for the last few years.

Another thing the American announced was that she was going to take up an undergraduate course as an assistant coach at UCLA.

The following statement can be read below in which Brady detailed how tough the last few years have been:

Jennifer Brady has had a career high ranking of 13 in the world having won one WTA singles title in her career as well as reaching the Australian Open final in 2021.

Now the American will hope this latest surgery will fix the problems as she will look to compete at the US hard court swing later this year.
