Matteo Berrettini’s recent injury problems have cast doubts over his Wimbledon participation.
The Italian has been unlucky with injury in the last couple of years which have ruled him out of some of the biggest tournaments in the world. First it was a wrist injury and now Berrettini’s latest injury is an abdominal problem.
After reaching the Wimbledon final a couple of years ago, Berrettini has failed to stay consistently fit with the Italian having surgery last year while this year the Italian hasn’t been able to play Madrid, Rome and Roland Garros.
There has also been a lack of luck for Berrettini as the Italian was forced to withdraw from Wimbledon last year due to COVID after winning Queen’s Club a couple of weeks earlier.
After being thrashed in Stuttgart by Lorenzo Sonego, where he was the defending champion, Berrettini has once again withdrawn from Queen’s Club with injury which has resulted in the Italian being unseeded for Wimbledon.
But now the big question is will Berrettini make it to Wimbledon given his injury problems?
