Novak Djokovic crushed Ricardas Bernakis 6-1 6-4 6-1 to set up a fourth round clash with Lorenzo Musetti.
The world number one was in top form as he destroyed the Lithuanian in 90 minutes.
Next for Djokovic will be talented 19 year-old Italian Lorenzo Musetti, who defeated Marco Cecchinato in five sets.
It was a confident start from the beginning for Djokovic, who crushed Berankis’ flat groundstrokes.
A mix of accuracy, slice and overall use of court saw the top deconstruct Berankis’s game slowly and methodically.
After losing five games in a row, Berankis finally won a game as he managed to fire some winners past the 2016 champion.
However Djokovic served out the opening set in convincing fashion to take a one set lead.
The second set was the most competitive as Berankis started opening up the court more, dictating points from inside the baseline and creating sharp patterns of play.
Some comfortable service games gave him confidence as he managed to get more 1st serves into play.
Eventually though in the fifth game, Djokovic broke as some good variety caught the world number 93 out.
Djokovic’s serving was equally as impressive as his returning as he would continue to cause Bernakis problems especially with the slice.
Berankis managed to reduce the set to just a break deficit as Djokovic closed out a two sets to love lead.
In the third set, Djokovic continued his superior form as he created a double break lead for 3-0
The match-up was not a good one for Berankis as the Serb cruised into the next round, ending the match with a forehand cross-court unforced error from his opponent.
A routine win for Djokovic sees him move into the fourth round on Monday where he will face 19 year-old Lorenzo Musetti.
The Italian rising star defeated former semi-finalist Marco Cecchinato 3-6 6-4 6-3 3-6 6-3 in 3 hours and 9 minutes.
In other results Diego Schwartzman cruised through to the fourth round with a 6-4 6-2 6-1 win over Philipp Kohlschreiber.
The Argentian will face another German in Jan-Lennard Struff who ousted Carlos Alcaraz 6-4 7-6(3) 6-2.
