Jo-Wilfred Tsonga beat Diego Schwartzman 6-3 7-5 to win his fourth title of the season in Antwerp. While in Moscow Damir Dzumhur completed the Russian double with 6-2 1-6 6-4 victory over Ricardas Berankis.

The Frenchman hit 8 aces in the match as he used his big serve to overpower a solid Diego Schwartzman to win his 16th career title.

Tsonga broke in the sixth game of the first set as he powered into a 4-2 lead with Schwartzman lacking power and accuracy on his first serve.

The second seed didn’t face a break point in the first set as he wrapped up the first set 6-3 in 33 minutes at the European Open.

The second set saw more fight from the Argentinian as he started to create more break point opportunities as he broke in the fourth game to cancel out the early Tsonga break.

Despite the world number 17’s power, Schwartzman continued to retaliate as the pair shared breaks in games seven and eight.

Tsonga started to lack accuracy on serve in the second set as Schwartzman was awarded opportunities. However the Frenchman served a high percentage on the big points as he kept himself in the second set.

The Frenchman’s pressure on return told as he broke in the eleventh game for a 6-5 lead in the second. He then wrapped up the match to win the title in Antwerp.

Tsonga has also won titles in Marseille, Rotterdam and Lyon as he seems to be having his best season yet. He will now head to Vienna and Paris hoping to end his season well.

Russia With Love For Dzumhur?

The Bosnian has now completed the Russian double as he won the Kremlin Cup in Moscow with a three set win over Lithuanian Ricardas Berankis.

Dzumhur won the third set 6-4 as he has now won his first two titles in Russia, first in St.Petersburg in September and now in Moscow.

The win means he could now be seeded for the Australian Open in January as he will rise to number 31 in the world. Berankis will now get his chance at revenge when they meet in the first round of Vienna.
