Amanda Anisimova and Madison Keys have booked their place into the WTA Finals in Riyadh at the end of the season.
Anisimova is into the semi-finals in Beijing and has had quite the season so far as she has broken into the world’s top five.
The American has reached two Grand Slam finals which were at Wimbledon and the US Open as well as producing consistent results.
Now Anisimova is into the WTA Finals for the first time in her career and couldn’t be more excited for her first appearance at the season-ending finale, “It’s going to be my first time there,” Anisimova said to the WTA website.
“A lot of new experiences for me this year, so I’m sure I’m going to have some really great memories there and do really well.”
Joining Anisimova as qualified for the WTA Finals is Madison Keys as the Australian Open champion secured her place in Riyadh.
Even if Keys doesn’t finish in the top eight, the American is guaranteed to finish in the top 20 which secures her place in Riyadh as a Grand Slam champion.
Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff are the other players in the WTA Finals with three more spaces up for grabs from now until the end of the season.
