Miomir Kecmanovic edged past Nicolas Jarry 6-4 4-6 7-6 (7-2) to reach the quarter final at the BNP Paribas Nordic Open at the Kungliga Tennishallen in Stockolm.
Both players went on serve until the 10th game, when Kecmanovic earned his first break to win the first set 6-4. Jarry started the second set with an early break in the first game. The Chilean player held on his serve and served out the set with a hold at love.
Jarry converted his third break point in the first game and held serve at 15 to open up a 2-0 lead. Kecmanovic broke back in the sixth game to draw level to 3-3. Kecmanovic raced out to a 4-0 lead with two mini-breaks. Jarry pulled back one break back for 1-4. Kecmanovic earned two mini-breaks to open up a 6-1 lead and sealed the win on his second match point.
