Top seeds Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski are chasing their first doubles title at the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters. Koolhof and Skupski claimed seven trophies together last year including three Masters 1000 titles at the Madrid Mutua Open, at the Canadian Open and in Paris Bercy.
The Dutch and British doubles team could meet Andrey Rublev and Karen Khachanov in their opening match, Jannik Sinner and Diego Schwartzman in the quarter final.
Rublev and Khachanov take on Jamie Murray and Michael Venus. Sinner and Schwartman meet Marcell Granollers and Horacio Zeballos.
Koolhof and Skupski are seeded to meet Mate Pavic and Nikola Mektic, who won in Miami, Monte-Carlo, Rome, Wimbledon and at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021. The Croatian team will face either Simone Bolelli and Lorenzo Musetti or Holger Rune and Taylor Fritz.
Defending champions Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury will face either wild cards Romain Arneodo and Sam Weissborn or Marcelo Melo and Alexander Zverev. Ram and Salisbury won the US Open and the Nitto ATP Finals in 2022 and three Masters 1000 trophies at the Canadian Open in 2021, Monte-Carlo and Cincinnati in 2022.
Ram and Salisbury are on a collision course for a potential quarter final match against Lloyd Glasspool and Harri Heliovaara, who will start their campaign against wild cards Nicolas Mahut and Stan Wawrinka. Frenchman Mahut won the Monte-Carlo title together with his compatriot Pierre Hugues Herbert in 2016.
In the bottom half of the draw last year’s Roland Garros doubles champions Marcelo Arevalo and Jean Julien Rojer will take on Greek brothers Stefanos and Petros Tsitsipas or Grigor Dimitrov or Hubert Hurkacz.
