While the tennis world had it eyes on the many events going on in Melbourne Dayanna Yastremka was appealing her provisional ban for testing positive for a banned substance.
She was on one of those chartered flights that had to hard quarantine and now that her appeal has been denied she won’t be able to play or even step foot on the grounds.
It was announced earlier this morning by the CAS or Court of Arbitration for sport.
Where she goes from here still needs to be figured out and no word is out yet if she can even travel or if she will have to wait till the end of the Australian Open to fly home.
In earlier statements she went to say that she is innocent and that she had tested negative two weeks prior to testing positive but she will have to fight it in court.
