Daria Gavrilova is looking to get her season up and running when she competes for Australia in Fed Cup action this weekend.
It hasn’t been the best start to the season for the 24 year-old Australian, who has lost all four of her matches in 2019.
The latest defeat came to Maria Sharapova in St. Petersburg where Gavrilova later commented explaining that her attitude was back to where it should be.
Honestly… Game is still not there but attitude was there.. finally felt like I gave everything without any regrets! Writing this as I'm cooling down on the bike…

Now the Aussie looks for a confidence boosting week where she looks to help Australia to a first round World Group win in Ashville against the USA.
Speaking ahead of the weekend’s action Gavrilova is looking forward to helping the team, “It will even be more special to get my first win not just for myself but Australia and my teammates,” she explained.
The out-of-form Australian will be joined by in-form Ashleigh Barty, Kimberly Birrell, Priscilla Hon and Astra Sharma.
After qualifying for the World Group last year the visitors look to make a mark in Ashville this week as they take on 2017 champions USA.
However despite the opponents Gavrilova insists the team isn’t intimidated, “I think we have a great young team and I think we can do some damage,” she said.
The USA have former US Open finalist Madison Keys as well as Australian open semi-finalist Danielle Collins at their disposal.
Sofia Kenin and Nicole Melichar join the American team that is looking to avoid playing a World Group play-off in April.
