It was a story that captured entertainment magazines and gossip rags everywhere.
Back in February Bocuhard, like millions of others, was watching the Super Bowl, the climax of the NFL season with a game between the Atlanta Falcons and the New England Patriots. With the Falcons holding a seemingly insurmountable lead, Bouchard was ready to hand victory to the Georgia based side.
John Goerhke had other plans, thinking that a Tom Brady-inspired Patriots still had a shot. He then bet Bouchard that the Patriots would come back, asking for a date if they prevailed.
Bouchard, thinking that a comeback was out of the realms of likely outcomes, agreed. When the Patriots eventually did secure the result, Bouchard remained true to her word, and the pair went to a NBA game together.
Yesterday, Bouchard shared a photo on social media site Twitter, showing that the pair enjoyed a reunion.

Bouchard is currently enjoying the brief off-season from professional tennis. A number of other Twitter posts also indicate that she is training hard ahead of the 2018 season. Tennis always gets off to a fast start with just a few weeks of tournament play availiable to players in the new year before the first slam in Melbourne, Australia gets underway at the end of January.
