The official acceptance lists for the ATP tournaments of Sydney and Auckland have been announced.
The two ATP 250 events, Sydney International and ASB Classic, will take place from the 8th to the 14th of January, in the “Emirates Australian Open Series” 2018.
Sydney, one of the three Australian ATP tournaments on the calendar, shows a very high cut-off at 54, even if there are no top-20 players in the entry list. Japan’s Kei Nishikori, Spain’s Albert Ramos-Vinolas and Luxembourg’s Gilles Muller lead the field, which also includes Fabio Fognini and Feliciano Lopez.
Auckland, the only ATP tournament held in New Zealand, has 5 top-20 competitors but the cut-off is a bit lower, at 61. American big hitters Jack Sock (defending champion), Sam Querrey and John Isner, Spain’s Roberto Bautista-Agut and Argentine’s Juan-Martin Del Potro are some of the stars of the line-up.
