Australian tennis star, Nick Kyrgios, has shrugged off injury concerns as he anticipates himself to fit in time before the Wimbledon Championships kick-off in late June.
Kyrgios, 21, had some unease in his left shoulder during his straight-set defeat to France’s Richard Gasquet in the third-round of the ongoing French Open.
Not being able to toss the ball up on serve, Kyrgios had to get some treatment done by his physio during the 6-2 7-6 6-2 loss to the local favorite.
However, he insists that this won’t hamper his chances at Wimbledon as he has two weeks to recuperate before featuring at the Aegon Championships.
“No (it’s not a concern), I don’t have another tournament for a while now. I can just get treatment and just look after it,” said the World No. 19, as quoted by tennis.com.au.
The Aegon Championships is scheduled to begin from June 13, and serves as a tune-up event for Wimbledon that runs from June 27 to July 10 at the All England Club.
