With a last minute hat trick to shuffle the cards Lleyton Hewitt will take to the court today and replace Sam Groth in the doubles against the Bryan Bros

Exactly one hour before the match, Australia announces that Hewitt and Peers will play against the Bryan brothers in the doubles rubber.
During yesterday’s press conference Hewitt had been cryptic about the doubles team, what many people thought (and hoped) actually happened: partially to save Groth’s physical energy – given the weather conditions in which he played yesterday – partially to save his psychological energy – 3 sets to 0 yesterday against Isner, and a possible 3-0 defeat today against the Bryans – Hewitt has decided to come out of retirement and take to court to give Groth as much rest as possible, in view of a possible decisive battle against Sock tomorrow (Sunday).
