Two-time Grand Slam finalist Jasmine Paolini will continue her partnership with Sara Errani in 2026, but in a different format.

The world No.8 has confirmed Errani will be part of her coaching team, working specifically on the technical aspects of her game. Paolini has enjoyed numerous successes on the court alongside Errani in doubles. Together, the duo have won nine WTA titles, which include this year’s French Open, the 2024 Olympic Games and four WTA 1000 events.

“Sara will be on my team next season,” Sky Tennis Italy quotes Paolini as saying.
“I’ll have two people this year (in 2026): Danilo Pizzorno will be my coach, and she (Errani) will take care of the tactics, because she’s on another level.”

Paolini’s coach, Pizzorono, has previously worked as the head of Video Analysis in the Piatti Tennis Team before taking on a similar role for the Italian national technical sector. He has also previously coached Liudmila Samsonova, who reached a ranking high of No.12 in 2023.

In her final tournament of 2025, Paolini failed to win a set in three matches played at the WTA Finals in Saudi Arabia. The Italian has won one title this season, which was on home ground at the Italian Open in Rome. She was also runner-up at the Cincinnati Open. In the majors, her best run was to the fourth round of the French Open.

“I’ve had a season of growth, in some ways better than last year. 2025 was worse for me than last year at Grand Slam level, but overall I played more matches, so in some ways it was a better season than last year,” said Paolini, who achieved a win-loss record of 34-12 in 2025.

Eager to add to her trophy tally in 2026, Paolini points out one particular area of her game that she needs to work on to keep up with her rivals on the Tour.

“It’s becoming a very aggressive, very fast sport, even in women’s tennis. So we have to try to adapt to this, trying to improve as much as possible,” she explains.
“We hope to be able to do that next season. The level of women’s tennis is rising.”

Paolini is scheduled to start her 2926 season at the United Cup in Australia next month.
