Five coaches or coaching teams have been nominated for Coach of the Year in the 2025 ATP Awards.
Darrell Cahill and Simone Vagnozzi (Jannik Sinner):
Jannik Sinner won two Grand Slam titles at the Australian Open and Wimbledon, his second consecutive Nitto ATP Finals title in Turin, the Masters 1000 title in Paris and two ATP 500 in Beijing and Vienna. Sinner won the Wimbledon Trophy one month after losing to Carlos Alcaraz in a dramatic five-set final at Roland Garros.
Juan Carlos Ferrero and Carlos Lopez (Carlos Alcaraz)
Carlos Alcaraz finished the 2025 season with a Touur-leading 71 match-wins. He won eight titles (two Grand Slam titles at Roland Garros and US Open, three Masters 1000 a Monte-Carlo, Rome and Cincinnati and three ATP 500 in Rotterdam, Queen’s and Tokyo). Alcaraz beat Sinner in a five-set epic match at Roland Garros and at the US Open.
Frederic Fontang (Felix Auger Aliassime)
Felix Auger Aliassime was ranked world number 30 last May and finished the year as world number 5. The Canadian player won three titles in Adelaide, Montpellier and Brussels and reached two finals in Dubai and Paris Masters 1000. He qualified for the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin for the second time in his career and the semifinal at the US Open.
Bryan Shelton (Ben Shelton):
Ben Shelton claimed his first Masters 1000 title in Toronto becoming the youngest ATP Masters 1000 champion in two decades. He qualified for the Nitto ATP Finals for the first time in his career and reached a career-high of number 5 last November.
Benjamin Balleret (Valentin Vacherot):
Valentin Vacherot won his first Masters 1000 title in Shanghai beating his cousin Arhur Rinderknech. He became the lowest-ranked ATP Masters 1000 champion in history a world number 204. He finished the season at world number 31. Vacherot is coached by his half-brother Benjamin Balleret.
