Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski rallied past number 1 seeds Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool 6-7 (3-7) 6-3 10-8 in 1 hour and 31 minutes to reach the final at the Nitto ATP Finals at the Inalpi Arena in Turin.
Both teams held on their serve in the first set, which featured just one break point.
Cash and Glasspool earned two mini-breaks on the third and tenth points to win the tie-break 7-3.
Salisbury and Skupski broke serve in the seventh game of the second set to take a 4-3 lead. The British team served out the second set with a hold at love forcing the match to the Match tie-break. They earned a mini-break to seal the match tie-break 10-8 on his third match point.
Salisbury has won his past 14 matches at the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin after winning two titles in 2022 and 2023 with Rajeev Ram. The 33-year-old British player did not qualify last year. Skupski has reached the final of the end-of-year tournament for the first time in his career.
Salisbury and Skupski set up a championships match against Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten who beat Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori.
Cash and Glassspool claimed the year-end Doubles number 1 earlier this week. The British team won seve titles at Brisbane, Doha, Queen’s, Eastbourne, Wimbledon, Toronto, Doha and Vienna and reached the finals in Miami and Monte-Carlo. They became the first British team to win a Grand Slam men’s doubles title since 1936.
