Jakub Mensik has qualified for the Next Gen ATP Finals in Jeddah for the second consecutive year.
Mensik beat former world number 1 Novak Djokovic in the final to become the second youngest champion in tournament history behind Carlos Alcaraz at the age of 19. The Czech player became the fifth teenager to beat Djokovic on the ATP Tour.
Mensik climbed to a career-high of number 16 in the ATP Rankings. He beat Jack Draper, Taylor Fritz, Novak Djokovic in Miami and knocked out Casper Ruud en route to the third round at the Australian Open.
Mensik reached the quarter final in Madrid, Brisbane Auckland, Eastbourne and Beijing and the fourth round in Rome.
“I am super happy and super excited to qualify for the Next Gen ATP Finals for the second time. The whole year was really good for me, winning my first ATP title with the Masters 1000 in Miami. It was a really great run and makes it even more special finishing the year as a Top 20 player. I am really excited to see you guys in December in Jeddah”, said Jakub Mensik.
Joao Fonseca, who won last year’s edition of the Next Gen Finals in Jeddah, has pulled out from this year’s edition due to an injury sustained at the 2025 ATP Tour season.
