The Cincinnati Open, the Qatar Exxon Mobil Open in Doha and the Nordea Open in Bastad were named Tournaments of the Year in their respective categories for the ATP Awards based on the results of player surveys.
The Cincinnati Open was named the ATP Masters 1000 tournament for the first time after completing a $ 260 million transformation at the Lindner Family Tennis Centre. The tournament underwent an extensive campus-wide renovation planned to improve fan and player experiences.
The tournament welcomed 96 players in the singles main draw and 32 in doubles and was extended to 12 days for the first time in its history.
Carlos Alcaraz won the Cincinnati title after Jannik Sinner was forced to retire. Rajeev Ram and Nikola Mektic claimed the doubles title.
“We are incredibly honored to be named ATP Masters 1000 Tournament of the Year for the first time in our history. This recognition is a reflection of the vision and commitment of Ben and Kelly Navarro, who set out to create a best-in-class experience not just for fans, but for the players who make this sport so special. This award is a true team achievement, and we’re grateful to the ATP and the players for recognizing that effort, said Cincinnati tournament director Bob Moran.
The Qatar Exxon Mobil Open in Doha raised its standards in tournament organization, player services and hospitality to mark its upgrade to the ATP 500 with Tournament of the Year Award in its category. The Doha tournament was a five-time ATP 250 Tournament of the Year winner in the past seasons.
Andrey Rublev beat Jack Draper in the final to win the ATP 500 title in Doha. Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool beat Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski in an all-British doubles final.
