Anna Blinkova beat 17-year-old Austrian wild card Lilli Tagger 6-3 6-3 to claim the second title of her career and the first since 2022.
Tagger was making her first main draw appearance on the WTA Tour.
Blinkova started the match with an early break on her second opportunity in the first game. Tagger converted her fourth break-back point in the second game to draw level to 1-1. Blinkova earned her second break at love in the third game to take a 2-1 lead. Tagger pulled back on serve for the second time in the fourth game to draw level to 2-2. Tagger saved four break points to hold serve after nine deuces. Blinkova converted her fourth break point in the seventh game to take a 4-3 lead. The Russian player wrapped up the opening set 6-3 with a break on her second point in the ninth point.
Blinkova saved three break points in the third game of the second set to hold serve after four deuces. Blinkova broke after five deuces in the eighth game to take a 5-3 lead and sealed the win on her second match point in the ninth game.
Tagger made her breakthrough on Saturday when she beat defending champion Viktorija Golubic 6-1 4-6 7-5 in the semifinal. The Austrian teenager went down 2-5 in the third set and faced three match point at 5-4, but she reeled off 13 consecutive points to reach her first WTA final.
