LONDON: On Monday, Italy will have three players competing for a place in the last eight at Wimbledon.
Top seed Jannik Sinner will play against the experienced Grigor Dimitrov in what will be the last match to take place on Centre Court. Over on court one, Lorenzo Sonego has a tough task against American 10th seed Ben Shelton. Meanwhile, on the outside courts, Falvio Cobelli will lock horns with former finalist Marin Cilic, who knocked Jack Draper out of the draw.
Tennis Hall of Famer Steve Flink joins Ubaldo Scanagatta to look at the chances of each player in their upcoming matches. The duo also look back on Sunday’s action at The All England Club, which saw Carlos Alcaraz come back from a set down to beat Andrey Rublev, and Taylor Fritz progressed following the retirement of Jordan Thompson due to injury.
In the women’s draw, which will guarantee a new champion, Aryna Sabalenka kept her chances alive by beating Elise Mertens. She will next play Laura Siegemund, who is the oldest first-time Wimbledon quarter-finalist in the Open Era.
