Coco Gauff thrashed Lois Boisson 6-1 6-2 to reach her second Roland Garros final of her career.

The American was too strong for the French wildcard as she reached her second Roland Garros final of her career.

Despite the defeat Boisson will still climb up the rankings by an astonishing 300 place and will make her top 100 debut.

Now Gauff will face world number one Aryna Sabalenka in the final.

It was a clinical performance from Gauff who took the ball early and dominated proceedings from the first ball.

There were some positive early spells from Boisson who moved Gauff from corner to corner with the forehand.

However, it was one way traffic from Gauff who broke on three occasions to take the first set 6-1.

In the second set there was more of a competitive edge to the contest as Boisson held in the opening game and even broke Gauff back in the fifth game.

The French wildcard was the lowest ranked Grand Slam semi-finalist for 40 years and showed some really good tennis at times.

In the end Gauff was too strong as she powered her way to a straight sets win with clinical serving and returning.

A Madrid final rematch with Aryna Sabalenka now awaits for Gauff who is into her second career Roland Garros final.

The current head-to-head is currently tied at 5-5 and Gauff won their last meeting in a Grand Slam final at the 2023 US Open final.
