Holger Rune cruised past Karen Khachanov 6-3 6-2 to reach the final at the Barcelona Open Banco Sabadell.
Rune broke to love in the seventh game of the first set. The Danish player earned a double break in the ninth game to seal the first set without facing a break point.
Rune earned another break in the second game of the second set. The world number 13 consolidated the break by holding serve for 3-0. Khachanov fended off two break points in the sixth game but Rune broke again in the eighth game to wrap up the win on his first match point with a passing shot. Rune hit 20 winners to 13 unforced errors

I knew I had to play well again, I was keeping my pace on my shots well, mixing it up well and doing most things right today, so I’m very happy. No matter who it’s going to be (in Sunday’s final) it’s going to be tough. I’m sure it’s going to be tough.””,said Rune.
