De Minaur will face Matteo Arnaldi in the second round. The Australian player reached the top 10 for the first time after beating Novak Djokovic, Alexander Zverev and Taylor Fritz at the United Cup earlier this month. De Minaur reached the fourth round at the Australian Open in 2022 and 2023.
“I hope Milos has a speedy recovery. It’s not great to see him like this. He deserves to be healthy and playing the incredible tennis that he has done for so many years. Hopefully he is back in no time”, said De Minaur.
