On Wednesday afternoon Serbia’s top sporting media outlets congregated in Belgrade for Novak Djokovic’s early awaited press conference.
The occasion was the first time the world No.1 has spoken with journalists in such a manner since winning his 22nd major title at the Australian Open. In recent days questions have been brewing over Djokovic’s ongoing bid to play events in America, his fitness and his reaction to equalling Steffi Graf’s record of weeks spent as world No.1.
The entire press conference was conducted in Serbian which is somewhat frustrating for his army of English-speaking fans, as well as journalists. One of those who attended the gathering was Vuk Brajovic who is a senior international tennis correspondent in his country. In an audio recording, Brajovic has exclusively provided Ubitennis with a detailed overview of what Djokovic said.
