Stefanos Tsitsipas saved all seven break points he faced in his 6-2 6-4 win over Tommy Paul in the final quarter final of the Paris Rolex Masters at the Accor Hotel Arena in Paris Bercy.

Tsitsipas converted all of his three break points. Paul hit two aces and did not convert any of his seven break points.

Tsitsipas saved four break points in the first game to hold serve in a five-deuce first game before breaking serve in the second game. The Greek player fended off three more break points in the fifth game to win before closing out the first set 6-2 with a break in the 10th game.

Both players went on serve in the second set until the 10th game when Tsitsipas earned his only break to seal the second set 6-4.

Tsitsipas has won his 60th match of the 2022 season. The Greek player set up a semifinal against Novak Djokovic, who beat Lorenzo Musetti 6-0 6-3 in the third quarter final. He is chasing his second Masters 1000 title in the same season for the first time in his career.Tsitsipas has won 50 matches in a season in three of the past four years.

Djokovic leads 8-2 in his 10 head-to-head matches against Tsitsipas and has beaten his Greek rival in seven consecutive matches.

“It was a very good match. I was able to get ahead in some of his service games, which gave me good energy. I wish I could have avoided some of the situations where I had to save break points, but I had to save break points, but I dealt with those situations very professionally, but I was able to hold serve. My forehand is my confidence shot and has allowed me to ge into the corners to open up the court. It’s a weapon of mine on these courts”, said Tsitspas.
