Number 5 seed Tamara Zidansek from Slovenia beat Italian qualifier Giulia Gatto Monticone 6-2 6-3 after 72 minutes to set up a quarter final against Sara Errani at the Copa Colsanitas in Bogotà. Zidansek converted six of her eight break points.
Gatto Monticone did not convert two break points in the second game before dropping her serve in the third game. Zidansek went up a double break in the fifth game to open up a 4-1 lead. Gatto Monticone pulled back one break in the sixth game, but Zidansek won eight consecutive points to claim the first set 6-2 after 29 minutes.

Zidansek earned her second break to open up a 5-2 lead. Gatto Monticone pulled one break back in the eighth game, but Zidansek broke for the third time at love.
Maria Camila Osorio Serrano beat Tereza Martincova 6-3 6-3. Martincova converted her third break point in the third game to take a 2-1 lead. Osorio Serrano converted her third break-back point to draw level to 2-2. The home player saved a total of four break points in the fifth and seventh games before breaking serve at deuce in the eighth game to claim the first set 6-3.
Osorio Serrano went up a double break in the fifth and seventh game to take a 5-2 lead. Martincova pulled one break back on her fourth chance for 3-5, but Osorio Serrano sealed the second set 6-3 with her third break in the ninth game. Harmony Tan from France beat Daniela Seguel from Chile 6-4 7-6 (7-3) to set up a quarter final against Lara Arruabarrena Vecino, who beat Jasmine Paolini 2-6 6-4 6-2.
