Caroline Garcia has been confined at the Rafael Nadal Academy in Manacor, where she is training after Indian Wells. She has never experienced the shutdown of all tennis courts in her life before.
“I try to accept things as they are, to the best of my ability, to put priorities one behind the other, but sometimes you tell yourself it’s unreal. In the morning and in the evening I feel like I am in a movie. I never thought I would live a period like this in my life. It is a small village on the island of Mallorca. There are fewer cases. There is containment, buti s is much quieter than many big cities in Europe. We are safe. We fine here. During this period I keep busy by doing daily chores like cooking, cleaning and doing puzzles. I hope the quarantine period is lifted soon, so that everyone can get back to normal life”, said Garcia in an interview to the French sports newspaper L’Equipe
