Producing only three unforced errors against Williams, it is hard to pick fault with how Halep played her latest match. Even her opponent admitted that it would be a good thing if she was able to play more like that on a ‘consistent basis.’
Whilst relishing in the success, Halep is the first to admit that she isn’t perfect. With a shot of regaining the No.1 position over the coming months, the Romanian intends to develop her game more. Sending out a warning to her rivals on the tour.
“I feel that I’m at the highest level, for sure. But I’m feeling also that I can improve some things, not about today’s match. But this tournament, I feel like I have to improve other things. I will keep working for that.” She said.
“I’m still motivated. I’m looking forward already to the next tournaments and next challenges that I have.”
