Nick Kyrgios lost his second round match in Rome to Casper Ruud by default after throwing chairs onto court.
The incident happened at 6-3 6-7(5) 1-1 when Kyrgios was incensed by members of the crowd moving about while he was serving.
A number of violations then proceeded on court from the Australian as he threw his racket on the ground, kicked a water bottle and threw a chair half-way across the court.
It was at that point that Kyrgios had enough and shook the umpire and Ruud’s hand as he left the court in anger at what had taken place.
Below is the incident and the celebration of Ruud having found out he booked his spot in the third round:

The question now remains if the Australian will now get a ban, considering he did get a suspended ban in China a couple of years ago.
However Kyrgios’ volatile behaviour continues to raise debate amongst fans whether he is good for the sport. This recent behaviour comes just yesterday when he had some strong words for Novak Djokovic and others on the No Challenges Remaining podcast.
As for Ruud he is set to take on Juan Martin Del Potro for a spot in the quarter-finals in Rome as this frantic day continues.
