Rafael Nadal has once again lived up to his reputation as the ‘king of clay.’ On Sunday he defeated Kei Nishikori 6-3, 6-2, to win a record 31st Masters 1000 title. It is the fifth time he has won the Monte Carlo title without dropping a set. As a result of his latest win, Nadal has now won 36 consecutive sets on the clay. A new best in his career.
