Former world number eight, Janko Tipsarevic has announced his new academy is under construction and is set to be completed in the first week of June.
The Serbian announced the news on his Instagram account and will be located in the centre of Belgrade in Serbia. The self-entitled, ‘Janko Tipsarevic Academy’ will have a massive 16 tennis courts as well as a new Gym and three swimming pools that will be made available for the public to use. Other features of the academy complex is a track and field, a Basketball court and a Beach Soccer Court.
Speaking about the news, the Serbian announced that the complex is still under construction, “I am so happy about the complex. There are 50 construction workers there, so I cannot show you much. I can’t wait to share with you more.”
Tipsarevic is currently recovering from another injury and was last seen in Monte-Carlo working with Filip Krajinovic. In his video below, you can see the rough plan of how the complex should look:

Construction of the academy should be completed in the first week of June as the 33 year old looks to give back to his local community. He joins fellow Serbian Novak Djokovic and world number one Rafael Nadal in having a tennis academy.
