The first big ATP event on red clay of the season will be held in Monte Carlo as usual, from the 16th to the 22nd of April.
The Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters is one of the most prestigious stops of the tour, and one of the three Masters 1000 tournaments played on red clay. Roger Federer, Juan Martin Del Potro, Kevin Anderson and Nick Kyrgios have not committed to play this year. With John Isner, Jack Sock and Sam Querrey not signing in, Jared Donaldson and Tennys Sandgren are the only USA’s players in the acceptance list.
Ten times former champion Rafael Nadal will try to defend the 2017 edition’s title, while Albert Ramos Vinolas is the former runner-up. Two times winner Novak Djokovic is set to compete as well.
