Juan Martin Del Potro rewarded his Argentinian fans as he held a public training session in Tandil to start his 2018 preparations.
Del Potro held a public training session in Tandil, Argentina in front of 1,000 of his fans as he started his 2018 season preparations today.
After his session, Del Potro revealed he did this to give back to his fans and the Argentinian community, where he grew up. “The idea was to give back to Tandil a bit of the love and support that I receive throughout the year,” The Argentinian explained.
“I also want to help out the foundation ‘Banco De Aliementos’. It was an amazing day and everyone had a great day.” Del Potro invited his fans through Twitter and received a great response in Tandil, with 1,000 of his supportive fans watching him train.
This latest gesture shows why he is one of the most loved tennis players on the tour and why he is respected by so many fans and fellow players.
The Argentinian will start his season in the second week of the ATP World Tour calendar, when he competes at the ASB Classic in Auckland before heading to Melbourne for the first grand slam of the year.
