World No.3 Grigor Dimitrov has ended his relationship with the Team 8 Agency. The agency, founded by current World No.2 Roger Federer and his manager Tony Godsick, had represented Dimitrov, as well as manage his image.

Dimitrov had a career-best year that saw him reach a Grand Slam semi-final at the Australian Open, win his first Masters 1000 title in Cincinnati, and finish the year by winning the most high-profile title on his career at the Nitto ATP Finals in London.

The Bulgarian will need a strong start to the 2018 season if he is to defend or improve his position. He is the defending champion of the early season event in Brisbane, and will have to defend semi-final points in Melbourne. He lost to World No.1 and eventual finalist Rafael Nadal last year in a pulsating five-set thriller.

Dimitrov will now work with Georgi Stoimenov as his agent. Team 8 continues to manage Roger Federer’s career, as well as that of 2009 US Open champion Juan Martin del Potro, as well as group of player further down the ATP rankings.
